Why we built this
We didn't start in software. We started on the other side of the deal table — doing due diligence on companies being bought, sold, or financed, where one of the first requests is always the same: send over a current list of every trade license, employee certification, and job-site permit the business holds.
Almost every time, that list didn't exist in any usable form. It was scattered across email threads, binders, spreadsheets, and someone's memory — and pulling it together ate days that should have gone toward closing the deal, not chasing paperwork.
That's the gap Trade License HQ is built to close: one place for a trade business to keep every certification, license, and permit organized and current — long before a lender, general contractor, inspector, or buyer ever has to ask for it.
The company
Trade License HQ is a product of Ritt & Royce, headquartered in Michigan. We're building with real ambition — our goal is to identify the boring, annoying problems facing the businesses that often get ignored, and develop solutions so they can focus on providing the best services possible.
